Features
Everything your church needs. Nothing it doesn't.
Every feature below is included in the $99/month base plan. No modules to unlock. No per-member fees. Just your church, fully equipped.
People & Families
Every church begins with people. Ekkluo gives you a complete, searchable member directory with individual profiles, family linking, emergency contacts, medical notes, and relationship mapping. You see the full picture — not a flat spreadsheet.
Tag members by ministry involvement, spiritual gifts, or custom categories. Track milestones like baptisms, membership dates, and pastoral visits. When someone walks through your door for the first time, Ekkluo helps you remember them by name the second time.
Family linking connects parents to children, spouses to each other, and households to addresses. One update cascades across the family. No more duplicates, no more missing phone numbers.
If your current records are a mess — people entered twice, different spellings of the same name, two profiles that should be one — Ekkluo’s built-in duplicate detection flags them automatically. Review the matches, confirm the merge, and the system consolidates the records across attendance history, schedules, relationships, and more. You clean it up once.
He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. — John 10:3. The shepherd’s work begins with knowing the flock. Ekkluo exists to make that knowing possible at any size.
Attendance & Safety
Track who’s present, who’s absent, and who hasn’t been seen in weeks. Ekkluo’s attendance module works across Sunday services, midweek gatherings, small groups, and special events — and it adapts to how each group actually runs.
For adult services and Bible studies, it’s a simple roster. Mark people present, check them in and out, or just run a quick “mark all present” when the group is small and everyone showed. For children’s ministry, it’s a full guided check-in system with key numbers, belongings tracking, drop-off adult verification, and secure checkout confirmation.
While services are running, your operations dashboard shows you everything in one place: how many people are in each room, which rooms are nearing capacity, which checked-in children have medical notes or allergies that volunteers need to know about, and which kids don’t have an emergency contact on file. If a child is still checked in from a prior class and no one moved them, the system flags that too.
When something goes wrong — a weather emergency, a fire alarm, anything requiring an immediate headcount — the safety roster gives you every person currently on-site with their emergency contact information. One click.
Every check-in creates an audit trail. You know exactly who was in the building, when they arrived, who checked them in, and when they left. For insurance documentation, safety compliance, or simply having a record, it’s there.
Attendance trends surface in your reports so a pastor can follow up — not because software told you to care, but because it freed you to notice.
Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine and go after the lost one? — Luke 15:4. Attendance tracking is shepherd work. Ekkluo makes sure no one slips through unnoticed.
Children’s Check-In
Secure check-in for every child, every service. Parents receive a matching security code at drop-off. Pickup requires that code. No exceptions, no awkward moments, no guessing.
The check-in process walks through four steps: select the child or children checking in, confirm what they’re bringing (backpack, car seat, bottle — whatever your team tracks), confirm the drop-off adult, and assign a key number. It takes under 30 seconds per family once they’ve been through it once. At checkout, the volunteer enters the key number, the system shows exactly what the child had when they arrived, and the parent hands back the key.
Every volunteer in the room sees the child’s allergy alerts and medical notes on their screen — no separate binder, no sticky notes, no hoping someone remembered to pass it along. Authorized guardians are listed. If someone tries to pick up a child who isn’t on that list, your team knows before they reach the door.
The kiosk runs on any tablet or device you dedicate to it. Volunteers clock in with a PIN. The system detects which room they’re in and which class they’re working based on the day’s schedule — they don’t have to configure anything. When one class ends and the next begins in the same room, the kiosk transitions automatically.
Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them. — Matthew 19:14. The church that gathers children well gathers families well. Check-in isn’t logistics — it’s hospitality with guardrails.
Rooms & Facilities
The fellowship hall. The nursery. The choir room. The parking lot shed that somehow gets double-booked every third Saturday. Ekkluo’s room management keeps your facilities organized so you’re not sorting out conflicts the morning of.
Reserve any room for any group, any date. When someone tries to book a room that’s already spoken for — either by a reservation or by a recurring event group — Ekkluo flags the conflict before it’s confirmed. No more showing up to set up tables and finding another group already there.
Track room capacity and safety maximums separately. Upload a floor plan and see your rooms positioned visually. Check availability across your whole building at a glance before scheduling anything.
Volunteer Scheduling
Most churches manage volunteer scheduling with a spreadsheet and a lot of texts. It works until it doesn’t — and when it breaks, it breaks on a Sunday morning.
Ekkluo’s scheduler knows more than just who’s available. It knows what role each person fills. It knows that the nursery needs one Teacher and one Helper, not just two warm bodies. It knows that David and Carol serve together or not at all. It knows that Mark can only serve the first and third Sundays. It knows that putting two specific people in the same room creates problems. You set those rules once. The scheduler handles them every time you run it.
When you’re ready to fill a month, click auto-fill. The system runs through every open slot, checks every constraint — availability, frequency, role requirements, pairing rules, time conflicts across groups — and fills what it can. What it can’t fill, it surfaces so you can assign manually. Drag a name from the sidebar to any open slot. Done.
The finished schedule lives in a month and week view. Every slot shows who’s assigned and what role they’re filling. Double-bookings are flagged automatically — if the same person ends up in two overlapping groups on the same date, you see it before they do. Print the schedule when you’re ready. It formats cleanly for the bulletin board or a ministry leader’s email.
Volunteers see their own upcoming assignments. They get reminders. You stop being the person who texts everyone on Saturday.
Do not grow weary in doing good. Good scheduling keeps the bow tight so your servants never burn out.
Communication Hub
Built-in email for announcements, reminders, and notifications. Segment by group, ministry tag, attendance pattern, or any custom field. Reach the right people without sending everyone everything.
The community board gives your congregation a place to post prayer requests, share needs, and celebrate what God is doing between Sundays. Your team moderates it. Members engage with it. It’s not a social media feed — it’s your church’s space, on your terms.
Event management handles RSVP tracking, calendar organization, and automated reminders across everything from Sunday services to men’s breakfasts to mission trips. One calendar, one system, no separate app to manage.
The print bulletin lives here too — a drag-drop layout editor for building your weekly bulletin in tri-fold, half-page, or full-page format with PDF export. More on that below.
Your media library stores images, documents, and videos — 10 GB included — for use across emails, community posts, and announcements.
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. — Acts 2:42. Connection isn’t an add-on. It’s the substance of church life.
Bulletin Builder
Your printed bulletin is one of the most-handled pieces of communication your church produces. Ekkluo gives you a drag-drop layout editor to build it — no graphic design experience needed, no InDesign subscription, no call to a volunteer who may or may not respond before Saturday night.
Choose your format: tri-fold legal, half-page, or full page. Build front and back. Drop in text blocks, images from your media library (JPEG, PNG, WebP), announcements, prayer requests, and event listings pulled directly from your Ekkluo data. Reorder blocks by dragging. When it looks right, export a print-ready PDF.
Copy last week’s bulletin as a starting point and update what changed. Most weeks that’s all it takes.
Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. — Habakkuk 2:2. The bulletin is still doing that work.
Assessments & Programs
Spiritual gifts surveys, Bible reading plans, Readers Club, church membership voting, new member orientations, and custom quizzes — all built into the platform. Assign any program to individuals or groups and track who’s completed it.
The Readers Club module gives your church a full library and reading program: book inventory, checkout and return tracking, reading progress, and three club types (Kids, Teen, Adult) that you can run independently. If reading through the Bible together or building a church library is part of how your congregation grows, it’s ready to go.
For congregational decisions, Ekkluo’s built-in voting produces a secure ballot your members can complete in the app. Deacon elections, budget approvals, pastoral calls — the results are transparent, documented, and final.
Create custom assessments for anything else: volunteer readiness, leadership development, membership class completion, congregation-wide surveys. Results feed directly into each member’s profile so you’re not cross-referencing spreadsheets later.
Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. — Proverbs 22:6. Discipleship is intentional. Ekkluo gives you the tools to be intentional at scale.
Benevolence & Financial Assistance
When someone in your congregation hits a hard stretch — rent due, utilities shutoff notice, a medical bill they can’t cover — the church shows up. Ekkluo gives your deacons the tools to handle those moments with dignity, care, and a clear process.
Members or visitors submit a request through a secure form on your church’s page. No login required. No awkward office visit. Your deacon committee receives the notification, reviews the request, and votes — right inside Ekkluo. You set the threshold: unanimous approval, simple majority, or a specific number of yes votes. When the threshold is met, the status updates automatically and you record the payment.
Every request is tracked from submission to resolution. Payment amounts, check numbers, dates, and notes all logged in one place. If your treasurer needs a record six months from now, it’s there.
Access codes let you control who can submit. Hand a code to someone who needs help before they ever have to ask publicly. The form accepts it quietly and routes the request to your committee.
Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. — Galatians 6:2. The church that bears burdens well needs a system that keeps nothing from falling through the cracks.
SMS Messaging
Outbound SMS for service reminders, volunteer notifications, prayer chain alerts, and outreach campaigns. Messages are sent directly through Ekkluo — no third-party app to manage.
Usage-based pricing at $0.0125 per message keeps costs predictable. 10DLC carrier registration is included at no extra charge, ensuring your messages actually reach inboxes.
Target messages by group, role, attendance pattern, or custom segment. Schedule sends in advance or trigger them from events. Every message is logged against the member’s profile.
How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news. — Isaiah 52:7. The sent church communicates. SMS is the shepherd’s voice reaching the flock wherever they are.
Giving & Accounting
Online and in-person donations with one-time, recurring, and designated fund options. Donors manage their own giving profiles, update payment methods, and download tax statements. $79/month add-on with 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction.
Fund accounting and budgets built into the platform — not bolted on. Expense tracking, budget management, and financial reporting designed specifically for church accounting standards.
Financial reporting and giving statements generated automatically. Year-end tax letters with one click. Donor engagement and giving history insights that help you steward relationships, not just transactions.
Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. — 2 Corinthians 9:7. Generosity flows from a strengthened community sent into the world.
